Just joined a new club....
...the "sambo on a popper" club. This was the best shot I could get. Try blooping a popper (80mm Roosta) and taking a picture at the same time! Only hooked and landed one fish doing this but had around half a dozen hits. Of course, instant hookups whenever a softie or metal was dropped straight down...biggest fish was 88 cm and was a real struggle on 10 lb line. I can now personally vouch for the integrity of Nitro Rods and my newly tried joiner knot, the slim beauty!
Left 'em biting...only regret was not having any bait to hand feed them! Oh, and the whales came with 20 metres again, but was too busy hooked up to get the camera! Also did two dives for five crayfish...some big whites right back in the rocks where I couldn't get to 'em; had to settle for one white at 79mm and a couple of ready-to-moult ones between 80 and 85mm. Oh yeah, my gridiron team in the states won their fifth game in a row, so I can say that I've definitely had worse Mondays!
