This fight this fish put up was the hardest and most stubborn I have ever had in my life. When it sat in the current 30m right under the boat and turned sideways, I thought it was going to break me.
I will be better trained and more prepared next year. I have seen with my eyes the size and felt with my hands the power of a 65 kg-over monster - I'll be back!
It is their most powerful model and is not out yet - the final tests are currently being conducted. I have no hurry to get my hands on it until after May. I am pretty sure it is a different rod altogether from the 78H.
I was fortunate enough to have the Ripple Fisher tester invite me up to see the full range of current and prototype rods. Let me just say, they go through ALOT of prototypes before a rod hits the market!
This rod I ended up loving is very powerful - SP-UHL equivalent, but much more parabolic so less painful on the back.
