Last nights squid 13/6/11
Hey all.
Aftewr school yesturday i went to work and finished at 9:30. I came home at 10 and asked my mate if he wanted to go squidding as i wanted to try out my new squidding gaff. I got to the spot and started flicking around a few jigs, i was using the Harimitsu's and i let my mate use one of my favourite jigs a 3.0 white Yamashita Glow and he got two tiny squid on that within the first hour then it went really quite.
The water was very shallow and the it was clear so i thought i'd get a few but not to be. At 12:30 I cast out my Yamashit Q live jig and got a squid on the sink. It wasnt huge but i wanted to use my gaff so i got lower to the water and got the squid in and sore that it was very well hooked but i used the gaff any way and it is very easy to use and would be handy if i lightly hooked a bigger squid of the rocks.
It then shut down completly and started to spit with rain and i had school today so had to leave at 1:30. Was a nice long day but it was all worth it to test out my gaff and very happy cant wait to use it on a bigger squid.

Thats a photo of my gaff that i got. Its telescopic so its easy to carry around and fun to use.

I've been watching him for a while and has added absolutely nothing of value through his many posts, only negative comments lowering the standards of this site. I guess it serves as a warning, I don't mind a few jokes and a bit of fun, but if your going to start attacking other members you can find yourself looking for other websites to mess around on.

Good work getting out after a day at school and then work, then also having the drive to fish into the early hours of the morning. I can only imagine the types of trips and fish you will get into after you finish school and can manage a little more free time.

I am yet to try squid fishing. I have a mate who is very keen in catching his first squid but we have no luck yet in catching any yet!

Cheers guys. Yer ive been doing a few late sessions of late as thats the only time i can go so i make the most of it but its not to bad. Other then the cold at the moment. Yer after school and when i get my licence ill be squidding/fishing everyday/night if i can lol. Its all good fun and i enjoy getting out after school and work just to relax.

Hahaha sometimes. But i finish that the nice before its due haha so i got squidding time, if ive got serious homework/asignment i wont go squidding but if im free and i can be bothered ( which is all the time lol) ill go.
