low tide on the South Aligator
Submitted by Tony Halliday on Tue, 2008-10-07 13:58
low tide on the South Aligator, about 70~80km inland and on the main highway in. River still has huge tidal surges here, but is about 4~5hours behind Darwin, so getting your tides right, takes a little effort.
Mud-banks are very slippery and no go zone at low tide, with fishing them only on the high and very carefully!!! locals know best.. :-)
