Nice work that will
Nice work that will certainly be a "slight" inprovement in how hard the 80 goes! Shouldn't use a great deal more fuel than the 4.5 either depending on how driven. Definately worth goin the LS2 over LS1 more low down torque and so much R and R gone into these motors wont take much to have a 300kw cruiser now thats gonna be a heap of fun! Am looking at the same conversion for GU Patrol, keep us posted on how it all goes would be great to see some progress pics and good luck with it! Cheers

yeh i had a blue marlin with the 4,5 and she was real thirsty, had gas put on it and never ran the same again, 100 series turbo diesel now (auto) havent found a fault yet, keep us all posted on your miles/gallon, thinking of doing something simular with a 60 series.

LS2 Action
My brother in law has done the same conversion recently in an 80 series as well. He had the 1HZ (4.2ltr diesel) motor previously and the LS2 uses less fuel and (obviously) shit loads more power. He had to fabricate the exhaust and a few clutch issues but all went in ok (eventually). Did you get the computer with the motor as he had problems getting one of those from the states as well? He initially went for the programmable MOTEC set up, but went for the standard CPU in the end and never looked back. Good luck.
