GREAT SHOT

Always wanted to head that way and drop the pick. Don't know how to secure the boat for the night. How do you set up a mooring and know the boat will be there in the morning or do you stay on her overnight ?

30lb

2x oversize 30lb plough anchor (suits a 9-11m vessel), 12mm chain, 25 m of 18mm nylon rope and a large float to come to back to.

Set up 50m from shore, snorkel down and make sure anchor is buried upright in the soft sand with the chain laid out correctly.

Loop spliced loop on end of anchor rope onto front bollard, then tie on anchor rope securely to the bollard with some extra rope.

I also make sure the weather is good before I do it and anchor on the lee side of the island.

I'll put a pic up of the anchor setup tonight Paul.

When placing the 2 anchors does it matter where you place them. I mean at 45 deg to each other or in line or what?

Can't help you with that one Paul, I only use the one big anchor.
