Got my first Chinaman at the entrance beacons coming into Port Hedland. My apologies for the quality of the photo.

We cooked it whole on the BBQ and it was pretty good.... a mild taste. Was a bit worried about the ciguatera that you can apparently get. As for the boats, I only own one and was babysitting one for a mate

We got a nice 71cm Chiny today. Got it on the vid camera too. Don't need to worry about ciguatera here though.

Try googling it Jimbo, should be able to find plenty of info. Only really need to worry about it on the east coast.

I'm pretty sure there has been no reported cases of ciguatera poisoning around north-west WA. We eat all our chinaman and never had a problem.
google! I do that with everything else, had a few drinks and couldnt be bothered just thought easier to post and ask for the short story ;)

I'm glad I didn't let it stop me as it was a good feed. Good fun to catch as well at 82cm
