I'm only interested in tailor when they are just size and swinging under a balloon, too big are full of worms and no good to me. Make sure you keep rusty workin properly and ill keep my trailer up to scratch. Your gonna be busy gaffin thats all I'll say.lol!!!

And 2 or 3 herring, You are allowed 16 two people as long as not over 50cm And it was myself and jody fishing
So its 2 each over 50cm and 6 under, And all the above are under 50cm

Not looking to butt heads big john, I see sherbs has got a billion odd posts hence he surely knows what hes doing.
Im not looking to upset anyone, I actually figured it was going to turn out to be a really old photo circa pre tailor bag limit. I was waiting for him to say 1982 or something similarly amusing.
I figure there was a fair query, it says old farts club on the bottom of his tagline. Thought it might give me perspective in how long these successful fishers have been honing their craft.

Yes; we have been around for a while and some of us like to share some experiences and some spots. Sherbs is one of those guys who would sit there and tie knots if you lost your rig while the fish are running. If you threw your last popper Sherbs would give you his. I can assure you all that Sherbs would be the first to give you shit if bag limits were a problem. Try leaving some garbage on the beach while he is around..

Part of the Tailor fishing experience, for me, is getting out there in your fourby & searching for the spots that may produce fish.
Get a group of mates together, go for a drive & find some spots.
There are heaps of posts on here giving you a rough idea where you need to be, whether it be north or south, just follow the clues.

It's a tough game
In July this year I travelled to Kalbarri, the king of all Tailor spots. Got there in the evening and having a beer I heard the stories from the weekend that hourses were running all over the place. I got really excited and fished for 3 days with not a sign of a Tailor. The places Sherbs frequents lately are some of the places I have been fishing for years. You get times when everything goes off with a bang as they seem to do at present. Then you spend weeks there without much success. It's the same everywhere. The secret is to be there LOL.

The problem with these spots guys is that you cant catch enough tailor UNDER 50cm.
How is anyone supposed to get a decent feed??

Problem with eating Tailor over 50cms?
Geezzzz you are fussy! Some beautiful fillets coming off the fish between 50 and 60cms. These fish are averaging 1.5 to 2 kgs. How much fish can you eat in a day? 4 fillets will feed a decent sized family. You can't freeze them. Generally I only take one of these fish and release the rest. With smaller Tailor you need to keep more for a feed. That means you reduce the potential of these fish to grow. It doesn't make a lot of sense to me.
