Went king springs (they do a progessive set for the 100 series) and air bags.Worked a treat.Just need to get the time to use it all now.Looks the goods though Kane.
after putting it in i will never not have it again. If they do pack it in then all that happens is you end up running on springs only so it is a no brainer as far as i am conserned. If they are working well its great if they let go then no great loss let the other one down and away you go.
possibly with heavy duty suspension in the rear and definately air bags, this setup will do the job to tow it a few km's to hillarys ramp but definately will need upgrading prior to any exmouth trips ;-)
with big bore raw shocks won the race. When there is no load in or on the back they are soft enough not to damage your spine. Then the spring gets harder as the load gets heavier.I run the bags on 6 psi with no load and up to 15 psi with the boat on the back. You can go to 25 but havent needed to go that far.I had heavy dutys and xtra heavies the last two times. The xtras only did 6000 kms and got ripped out next service. The heavy springs did 200000 odd kms and i wont go back to them either now i have had the progessive ones.Kings are the only one s that make them and they only do it for 100 series ( I think) I am still thinking about getting stabaliser bars as well but will give it one run to Coral Bay with out them then decide.Had them on the light trailer and they made 60/80 km difference between re fuels. So they may pay for themselves in one trip.
ill definately take a look at the kings then, i have had heavy duty before and i agree it sucks when you havent got any load in the back, but when you do they work a treat. progressive sounds great - mixed with air bags it sounds like a really good setup. how do they compare price wise to tough dog / old man emu etc
shes a 2352 trophy, 5.0 mpi mercruiser with 46 hours, only a very very recent purchase, in fact managed to get her home just in time before i flew back up north to work for a month :P so itching to get home and get some use from her as soon as i can :)

air bags
I tow 3.5 tonne and only put the inside spring air bags in. Levels up my ride and i cant fault them.. Cheap too.
If they blow i still have original springs to fall back on. I had them in the 100 and put them in the 200 as well
Twin turbo..V8 diesel..Ohh what a feeling!!
