Never seen anyone popping

Never seen anyone popping anywhere around any of the the islands and can't imagine many have. On a good day I'd say up to a dozen boats maybe, I've never seen more than 6 or 7 with most hunting around Koks and west of the islands for bottom species.

Pressure

From what I can gather there's not too much done in close for GT's etc,a bit of trolling goes on down the outer side[west] and some close in for blue bone on Dorre and Bernier. Most of the fishing done is around the gap on the outside and just around Koks, the rest is mainly outside on scattered little lumps. On the inside about 5 miles east and half way up Bernier is what is known as the Muck hole.most catches here are pinkies and rankin cod

Haven't seen or heard of anyone but then again cannot say it doesn't happen.Wodf may be able to shed more light on it than me as he tosses a few lures around.
I'm not a lover of spanish mack as an eating fish and will only drop a lure in if decky wants one, same goes for trev's.If I get one while bottom bouncing it goes straight back regardless if decky want one or even if its the only fish caught---totally rubbish eating.

I only chase mackies and trevs for sport, as goes with all pelagics. Only reef species for the table Wink
