tailor mark this pic was supose to be with my last comment on catching a bull in the swan .he would of only taken about 5 minutes to land .give them nothing.but dont strike early .let them munch down the bait first

we have a bit of a ritual

Tue, 2007-10-30 08:21

we have a bit of a ritual going when we take a newbie fishing .80lb snider a 320 over head pen with the drag done up with a spanner. a fish frame for bait .when the rod goes of the call is for the new blood to get onto it .farrrk its a laugh just watching them trying to get the rod out of the rod tube buried into the sand. once hes done that .its on with colourful languge coming from all spectaters."come on ya poof give it to him" as the poor bugger struggles to come to grips with WTF is happening .it has back fired once on us with so called newbie giving it all snapping the but section of the rod

always in it just the depth that varies

next time your in onslow

Wed, 2007-10-31 14:24

next time your in onslow head down to 4 mile .if its a high tide in the evening .lob a big stinkie bait out at the first bend near the mouth .sit back ,,,,drink a few bourbons talk some shit with goacha, when the reel starts loosing some line have another skull then grab the rod and GIVE IT TO HIM.dont strike to early .let the bugger get the bait down his gob first
the reason i say near the mouth is theres a lot less midgees when parked up on the beach sand rather than where the banks turn muddy
always in it just the depth that varies
