Poppering for tailor!

Fished the lagoon for tailor and got into some 40cm choppers. Godd fun but a bit small. It looks quite smooth out there but it was rough as so i got the misses to take some shots from the beach. I went up to club capricorn for the next night and got 2 at 60cm but still a bit skinny and proberly on there way up north to fatten up a bit. They just loved the halco roosters.

Yeah i think so mate it was
Yeah i think so mate it was pretty bluddy cold and the wind was howling which made for perfect tailor flicking but hard to get the casts out far enough......swaped to the 9" stick and that solved tha drama. Im not to sure what they were but i did see quite a good sized school come past in a big hurry but i was walking back to dodge a wave and couldnt get a cast in.....im half thinking bonnies but not sure. They were in the 40ish cm range.

When its calm maybe but
When its calm maybe but theres some ripper current flowing along there would have to be careful. See quite a few sharks landed there as well but only babies. I snorkelled that morning not far from here and seen some thumper tarwine and skippy well over the 1.5kg mark! Sore 2 KG's as well but they were to fast for me to follow them. Some nice coral around and heaps of bait schools so you can see why all the tailor hunt in the white wash. Summer time i plan to try the whole length for a look under water.
