 heres a nice bight snapper (red snapper) a mate caught on my boat yesterday do they get much bigger or is this a good sized one

 cheers thought it was a decent one and was only in 38 meters of water pretty stoked tasted so good

It's a red bight fish. Nanagai are similar but are an eastern seaboard fish, different species same family (I think that is the correct terminology????).

I have seen them much bigger in Esperance out deep, but that is a good size for metro!
