Seems the scaley stocks down our way haven't recovered from last salmon season so should be interesting to see how long they stick around for, maybe the herring will cop it this year haha
That can be a very "exciting place" in any sort of a swell and when the fish are right up against the western edge of the reef. Well done in taking the bit between your teeth and going for it.
Big school at Mewstone yesterday. Took a couple of poms out who had never caught a fish. Quick detour from Garden Island to have them playing with a couple of 5kg fish.
Landed 6 fish that all swam away after a little bit of work.
Wasn't easy getting to them they were inbetween the reefs and the southerly was blowing us straight onto the reef the rod i got it on was a rebuilt rod thanks to mike

Nice
I heard they turned up in the sound today as well as stragglers. Gonna be a huge season.

Nice one, we drove past covs on sat morning. We were thinking about a fish there but kept on going.
Looking forward to a few metro salmon but I cant see the sound firing as much as last year due to the scalies but you never know!

I used 92lb on salmon for
I used 92lb on salmon for most of the season last year, there's nothing like locking up the drag and holding onto a fish as powerful as them
