Ive had one surface under a boat i was on off bussleton! The boat was a 45" cat and it raised one side so high we though we were going over! Lost about $3000 worth of gear, thats how far! Scared the absolute shit out of me and all on board (charter). It didnt seem to worry too much about the situation but it freeked me out!
Yeah if i was in a tinny i wouldnt go anywere near them!

in exmouth we had a humpback surface right next to the boat and then as it went back down it kicked the side of the boat with its tail. one of the most scariest things i have witnessed
