A solid 61 cm Kalbarri tailor

I had been in Kalbarri less than 12 hours when I cracked the 60 cm mark with this very solid tailor.

We fished Wittecarra pretty exclusively Dave as the
conditions were perfect there and a few other spots weren't suited to the tides and winds while I was there. But the fish would have been all over the place as they were passing through in regular schools.

Nice Trip
Kalbarri really lived up to its name this trip Colin!
Any Mulloway to throw into the bag?
Cheers,
Sam

Hi Sam. I threw out a few full tailor fillets hoping to attract
a mulloway, but the bigger tailor kept hammering them. I was amazed at how many 55 cm plus tailor there were around.
I am sure that if we had the time to venture down to the river mouth at night there would have been a few around.

Spot on Wizza
I love them Wizza. They are very strong, the drag is smooth and the reel hasn't missed a beat. I am just looking forward to landing a nice mulloway on it to give it a real testing.

Congrats on the PB colin :)
It must be good to get one over the 60 mark.

Thanks Rob
70 cm is the next WA PB target. But I might have to wait until my next trip to Kalbarri for that.

Good luck Emric
The fishing is pretty solid most of the year at Kalbarri. You will find that the popular spots will get pretty crowded with the Christmas holidays on, and it definately pays to get to the best spots as early as possible in the mornings and evenings.
