Kaney, you mean "Fishes in" to 500m....hense why I've got 700m of braid =0
At a guess NZ Bass, they get em in shallower depths over there and wish we had that here but not the case. There's a guy out of here (Perth) that's targetting deepwater fish to 800m, now "thats" deep lol =)
I was thinking if they're in the 100's I'm having a crack...
But can't do it in the depths you're into Ryan.. Tubs a bit too small (could probably make it on a perfect day with a couple of jerry cans ) and would need a new reel !
Yep, that fish was taken from the Middlesex Bank at The 3 Kings in NZ on a 420g broken arrow jig. I'm based back in OZ now but have another trip to the 3 Kings planned for April....get some pretty good Kingies too....
can't remember that particular Kingie...but we encountered large numbers of BIG Kingfish at the king bank, the middlesex bank and the Princess Group of islands at the 3 Kings.....we got huge Kingies right in the washes.....some good topwater action too
5-10 mins i guess from hook up....once they are out of the bricks, I take it pretty easy with them.
I was working in NZ for a couple of years......some of the best fishing I've ever seen.....
I haven't done a bluefin trip yet...have a few mates that have.....can be a bit hit and miss...not my cup of tea really....huge fish though

unfortunately for us
120m is a pipe dream in our fair waters for fish like that. I think Sean is in Noo Zeelund isn't he?
Great fish, the girth on that sucker is incredible.
