Something looks a bit fishy here

Somebody moved all the sand from Triggs and parked it 500m down the beach (along with all the surfers) Nice drop on the other side of the reef, and runs a fair way down. Love seeing the reef reappear each Winter.

Wedge!

Fri, 2007-08-31 12:45

The wedge uptop where the water is breaking there has been a good bodyboarding spot for me, aswell seen some brave souls fishing ontop of the reef on the right and catching some rather decent size Tailor and Snook. Thumper Tarwhine and Whiting has been pinged out of there in the evenings.

My reels screaming zzzzzzz.... awwww damn it, its another boat!

All the best for the future fishing trips.
Cheers.... Jangles

I once fished it just like it was 7 years ago, ( look at post date!) , all exposed from winter storms , and bang right on first light

got a salmon on a mulie.

I landed it , removed the hooks and sent the battle scarred veteran on its way, not needing it after

countless fish from down south in the autuum run, only to hear shouting from the beach.

Two gentalmen of possibly italian decent were waving and yelling at me, for letting it go.

In there broad accents they were quite open in telling me what a idiot I was , and I should have given it to them

which considering I am the one whom caught said fish , I found highly amusing , which in turn made them madder!

Now not knowing Italian swear words , I was immune to there barrage of profanitys , and left the reef to these fish demanders

to hit the macdonalds at scarbough for a bacon and egg mcmuffin, If I remember correctly, fully pleased with the mornings fishing!
