Spango
No arms out for these mothers. I think the biggest would nearly have pushed 80. We are about to go and measure them up, fillet, take gonad samples, gut samples and fin clippings for csiro and take their otoliths out.
Will report in afterwards on the biggest fish measured.

goatch had the same thing
goatch had the same thing with big spanglies of coralbay .fillets had dirty marks in thwem with some sort of worm or parasite living in the flesh .now any spanglie from the ningaloo area over 65 i let go .up past onslow ive eaten 70 plus ones and they were fine ......
even the bigger red throats we got had the parasite in them as well
always in it just the depth that varies

parasites
Didn't notice any parasites in the 46 spangles we got over the 2 nights, all flesh was fine. Even though some were soft flesh and some were quite firm to the point of even sinew. I've only noticed the parasites in red throats (sweetlip) emperor and rankin cod.

Accurate jangles....
Jeez Jangles, you guessed 74 off a photo, and it went 73.
Adam guessed 80, and it was 73.
Note to self - take 9.5% off the professional fish-measurer's fish reports... ;-) lol haha just kidding mate, just kidding...
Cheers,
Ewan
