Yeh a mate of mine down
Yeh a mate of mine down there said he's never seen so many tailor there as he has this year. 4 caught from the same spot a few days before I got this one.
Yeh been trying a few assist hook setups trying for a better hook up and less loss of salmon on metals. Surprisingly hooked this tailor on the front one and not the rear. Didn't get any salmon on metals... was a dead salmon weekend.. only landed one on a sp and lost 2, also lost 2 on a popper... it just wasn't meant to be!

Good solid tailor there Goodz
I have caught a decent sized tailor while fishing for salmon at Windy Harbour, so I guess there are a few down that way.

Nice fish Goodz. Been a long
Nice fish Goodz. Been a long time since I've been tailor fishing, have to get out there again soon.
What sort of setup are you running there with the lure? Looks like an assist hook on the back of a slice? Do you find that more productive?

Halco Twisty 60g Rigged with
Halco Twisty 60g Rigged with a Shout Power Assist 3/0 on top and a Shout Power Jaco 3/0 on bottom. Hooked that tailor on the top one actually. Hooked a few big bull herring on the rear hook but unfortunately no Salmon around to test if this set up was anymore productive on them. Seemed to still swim great tho.
