Most of the herring I get from the swan are on gold twistys (10-15g) which I use to cover ground and find fish however it's easier for them to throw the hooks on metals. Once I have found a patch of fish I'll swap to a roosta popper 60mm or 80-90mm stickbait. I find two sets of hooks and a lighter weight lure results in less fish coming off. Really any small Baitfish profile lure will get slammed axey45.
