Fri, 2007-10-26 15:01

Sheevers! Thats like hell long to get to if your on a boat. I guess if you hit 100km on a boat it wouldn't take too long.

two hours is doing about

Fri, 2007-10-26 15:22

two hours is doing about 25-28 kt's and i don't think any fish swims fast enough to hit our lures at that speed!!

And most fishing boats only hit about 35-40kt's, the only boat i have been in that does 100k's was a 6.8m cyclone speed boat with a 275hp virado. and i can tell you thats bloody quick on water!

yeh was going to say about

Fri, 2007-10-26 15:26

yeh was going to say about 25knt (ish), and i think the fastest trolling lure would only get up to about 15-16kn max! Black Bart Rum Cay Candy is only pusher that i know would travel those speeds...no diver lure would have any hope!

cheers

Chrome heads

Fri, 2007-10-26 15:37

You can run chrome heads at 15-16knots and will get wahoo and dolphinfish, probably spaniards too. Your hookup rate would probably be severly diminished by the drag setting as to not loose your rod and the back half of the boat on strike.

Let us know how you fare tomorrow boys. Sounds like its going to be a good mission.
