todays crays with Tupperware plate for Pete and Tony

We had one of todays crays shed its shell in the esky so I decided to do a soft shelled tail seasoned and fried. Served along with a lime and pepper steamed tail, potato salad, pasta salad and garlic bread with a beer was quite a nice way to spend a warm night. All dished up on the finest tupperware in my cupboard.

The green sets the red of the tail of nicely.
So tell me have you got your info from years on the water or hours on the internet?

yeah just dusted the whole tail, shell and all in flour/salt/pepper/herbs then into hot oil. The shell got a little crunchy but it came up pretty nice. Worth doing again if we get some more super soft whites like that.

Looks and sounds yummy.
Got legs eleven today for Brad and I out of one dive and boat load of squid. 8 of the 11 were very soft.
