And yes the Sound/Mangles Bay has been closed(crabbing) for eight years now. That's a very long time for a closure,and not getting a lot of information from Fisheries about the latest situation with the Crabs in the Sound.

Yeah being doing ok out in the sound , just normal size , but sorta drifted into slightly deeper water than usual and hooked a real drag puller,
it came off but Im learning more all the time , and will be going deeper in the future .

nice work - question to all - when drifting in the sound, does anyone ever put out a few crab pots? - would have thought there may be a few around?
