Unwanted visitor

April 2011 - near the second red marker off Monkey Mia. We were in a 4.2 metre tinnie and had a visit from this tiger shark that was about 4 metres long (centre right of photo). It circle us twice before I decided it was time to move on!

Would have been awsome to see, bit scary tho when there as big as your boat lol.

Awesome!!
Even worse when you jump in for a quick dip then get out and 30 seconds later a tiger rocks up about 4.5 in length!!!!

A few years back
A few years back I was talking to one of the research guys in the Monkey Bar at the resort. They catch them and tag them. They estimate there are about 5000 tiger sharks in the two gulfs!
