What a difference a week makes

Fished last Sunday for mountains of rain and not many fish. Fished yesterday in the monthly tournament for a much better result). Hooked up a barracuda before I even had all lines out (ended up winning me second place in that category). About 15 minutes later I hooked up a solid saily and another barracuda. The sailfish was awesome fun and took out second place overall in the tournament. I also landed a 15kg wahoo (my PB) (and two slightly smaller ones) - missed out on second place by 1kg. Also landed a nice mahi that missed out on a prize by half a kg. All in all I had a great day with about $100 of prize money left over after expenses (fuel and registration).

Nice pinhead Soupy. Looking at those clouds, looks like more rain was on its way!

Rain
It rained pretty good from about 12-4pm. To make things worse I didn't catch a fish during that time. A couple of quality fish would have eased the pain the shivering was causing. The beer eased the pain at the weigh in.

Boat
It's a 32 footer. Fibreglass, open (with bimini that never gets put up this time of year) and a single 130hp Honda. Rides the swells really well and heaps of room to land/store the fish.
