Not 100 per cent sure, but the head looks like a moray. If it is, they have some serious teeth.

HI all,
First time posting here.
I have been out twice over the past week off Mindarie and caught 8 of these bloody eels in the two trips. Never seen them befor.
They are pretty creepy the way that they twist around themselves, and are definately not allowed on board.

Yep they are creepy. Mine rolled it's self around and broke my gangs! Was a right pain in the arse to cut free of the line.

Seem to be a common occurance around Perth. Have caught heaps off Rotto, bloody annoying creatures!

Normally get them on a slow drift.

Yep, we got them on Tuesday drifting (couldn't help but drift slow) and also anchored in around 35m.
The other fishing was a bit slow however a couple of sharks livened things up a bit.

I have seen that variety of eel and as said plenty of them around Rotto, they are a Leopard Eel, was identified by a mate from his book of Fish IDs
