Age was just a guess, 14-20. He can't tell until the microscope comes into action. Will have to ask him to bring down the bandsaw and scope for the NOR!
Totally agree with the 70% to the skipper; and as you are on the committee, I hereby second that motion so therefore the extra points should be be allocated to myself and hence SOR will have the overall lead.
I'm pretty sure Tony would have left you the head, wings and skeleton (roughly 70% of a dhui) . The fact you donated your 70% for research was your choice.:)
He has actually used all of the fish - "Filleted off 8kg of dhuie fillets, head and frame was cooked down to 7litres of stock, all that went to waste was the skin! Even the cat's got an eye-ball each!!! ;-)"
I got five kilos of my own fillets...so just the points would be nice to enhance the SOR bragging rights.
However, even if we included extra "pity" points from Tony, we'd then have to also include all the SOR anglers that didn't weigh in anything, wonder what that would do to the SOR averages? Hmmmm, can't be good me thinks.

How old?
Pete,
Did Ian say how old the fish was? Looks bigger than 14kgs from that pic, fat belly on it.
Always say its 70% the skipper finding the fish and 30% the angler catching them, so I hope Tony gave you a couple of fillets (hehehe)
Well done to both of you, a great effort.
Cheers

how old?
Andy the bugger can catch his own fish...
Ian said it's around 18~20years as a guestimate, we expected it to weigh more than the 14kg it came in at.
but as I'm a short little bugga, that makes the fish look huge...lol

Nice try Pete!
Unfortunately it doesn't work that way.(hehehe)
However, even if we included extra "pity" points from Tony, we'd then have to also include all the SOR anglers that didn't weigh in anything, wonder what that would do to the SOR averages? Hmmmm, can't be good me thinks.
Either way, top effort guys.
