finally bit the bullet and bought some exspensive squid jigs . Launched at mangles bay at about 9.30 this morning and had my bag within 1 1/2 hours home by 11.30 cleaned and ready to eat. cant beleive that the good jigs out fished the cheap 14 to 1 .

were salt and pepper squid and chilli squid rings the other ten are bait

My uncles a professional whiting fisherman in SA swears by using fresh squid caught for bait, wont use bought shit, always has a jig out the back catching fresh as hes working catching whiting.

turned 1 squids tenticles
into 8 40cm kgs on sunday so i can tell you they are great bait for whiting
