Here is a quick vid, sorry about the editing as that was basically how it was shot as Darryn was busy helping me with the fish rather than filming.

Hopefully the vid will show a few pointers for those lucky enough (or unlucky enough) to be placed in the same position as I was.

The double dhuie dilemma is rare but quite topical after West Coast's thread last week, hence the segment to camnera to explain what we did a bit better than what we got on film.

I was merely asked to help out for 10 or 20 minutes each week to talk about the joys of fishing, which will last as long as Gillian wants to cover the segment. No politics, no technique stuff, no tackle talk, just the experience of fishing and how it cuts across all the barriers of age, sex, race, religion and physical capabilities.

If you are expecting anything else you will be sorely disappointed.

I am sure that the majority of us here want to do all the right things. It's like casting... you can't get it right without tuition. I am sure the Dhu population will be really gratefull for your efforts. I think the regulators should take a lot from this also. Legislation only does so much; self-regulation and respect for what is around us makes a whole lot of difference.

Just a thought, maybe you should get Gully along to vid them going back down to see how they fare on the bottom, now that would make a cool vid!

Any promotion of the release weight and the extra tips offered in particular for bringing up a fish slowly & using a deco stop etc is good mate!

The message is slowly getting across, good vid to remind ppl and shame the law had to prompt boaters but the outcome is all good non the less!
