1st Storm of the season
Submitted by Dale on Sun, 2014-11-09 17:48
Finding myself back in the Pilbara these days after working most of the last 2 years in the mid west and our first storm of the season has been making it's present felt here at Hope Downs South Village. Gee I've missed something's not working up here. Good old fashioned downpour, tonnes of really close thunder and lightning. Had just enough break in it to get back to my donga.

From what I've heard it sounds as though it could be an interesting season.

Quiet season
They have predicted a quiet cyclone season with only four or five at most expected.
Hope one comes down through the middle of the Gascoyne catchment and gives us a river, things are getting pretty dry around town

That new levee looks pretty
That new levee looks pretty impressive John. Hopefully no more major flooding in the town.

Great Wall of Carnarvon
Not the Great Wall of China but our own great wall that travels for miles, whether it works or not is another question.

There are two types of people ,do'ers and watchers
Right now the do'ers are the doing it
And the watchers are watching us do it
