I just got word that the crew just nailed a 200m Dive on the Derwent. That's a massive effort from an exceptional group of divers.
Congrats on being the first!

Serious?
That's nuts. How long is your bottom time in 200m?!?

Massive achievement!
Probably more of a question was how long was their decompression stops!!!!
I imagine a helluva long time for going down to that depth(which i am guessing was probably on mixed gases rebreathers with a few extra tanks strapped to the body, and a few dangling underwater from the boat on ropes).
That is one hell of a depth to get to! Well done to them!

I can only imagine the jigs
I can only imagine the jigs and lead they found.
If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am.

and a few house bricks from the early days
when you only saw a couple of other regulars out there.
So tell me have you got your info from years on the water or hours on the internet?

Deco Times...
The dive was around 12mins Descent, 8 mins of bottom time, and 8 hours ascent/Deco.
Craig has reported lots of mono/braid, and jigs covering the wreck. It made the dive all that more difficult.
Hopefully, Craig will release his video soon.
Well done to Craig Challen, Dave Bardi and Sandy Varin on the Dive as well as Mick Green and Mark Brown (Wizbang) for the support dives.
Luke Nelson on Image Dive, with Kim as crew provided topside support. There is no other Skipper and boat/crew that can pull this kind of Dive off other than Image Dive. A huge effort.
