2nd hand dive gear

Hi guys,
Quick question.
If you were to buy 2nd hand gear of somebody, can/should you get it all checked before purchase. Or even once purchased get it service/checked just in case,
Obviously don't want a problem under water.

even if you ring around dive
even if you ring around dive shops some of them may possibly have demo gear they would be willing to get rid of fairly cheap and used very little times. Get in contact with Chrisso on WA Divers site he may have something he can offer you
