yes regarding the Jigs heads , what would be suitable weight to jig from say 25 metres out to 40-50 metres ? AN the best plastics for dhuies are the mcarthy plastics ?
DhuBoi, for 25-35m we use around the 1 1/2 oz and for 40/50m we use 2oz to max 3oz jigheads. If the drift is very slow then you can stay with 2oz jighead to 50m depth.
McArthy plastics work well on Dhuies, you'd probably notice many colours work also. My personal favourite have been the brighter colours, ie. Chartreuse Pearl, Pink pearl and Coppertreuse, in 7 inch bullhead minnows. The other popular model would be the 6inch Paddle Tail and if your using 3oz heads and in the deepwer water you can go up to the 10 or 11inch big jerk minnow which are Dhuey slayers.
