What are the purposes?

What do you plan to use the outfit for?? And also a rough price range will help narrow down your choices alot.

Fri, 2011-03-25 11:58

i just had a look at the saltist demon blood 64 cj(combi jerk) at bluewater morley and it is a sweet rod for a bit of an allrounder it would suit the stella 5k well and at around $300 it is well priced.

Morley is my local ryan.

all the guys there are so good and they know their stuff. When i had my saltiga spooled a few weeks back Carl really treated it as he would his own and i cant fault the job. honestly a group of guys that really love their fishing. I knew Dan as we were growing up causing hhavoc on scarborough in our surfing days.

Which Rod

Fri, 2011-03-25 12:09

Hey crew

We mostly bottom bounce with plastics. No real price range as such as long as its the good gear. I had the 2010 Saltiga in mind, I tend to lean towards the Daiwa gear as i have the Bayjigger, Bayrubber,Blue Backer and the Spartan. I know there is other brands out there that are good, just havnt heard much about them. Any info would be very appreciated.

Cheers Mick

rod for stella

Fri, 2011-03-25 12:14

i have a couple of saltiga rods, but for value those new saltist demon blood rods are hard to go past you can't really pick them from saltiga rods except for the extra $300.00

Highly recommend the Smith

Fri, 2011-03-25 12:24

Highly recommend the Smith KGS68M, perfect for heavier plastics work, metals, small sticks and poppers. I have a SW5000 on one, and i always grab this outfit first as an allrounder. Even working light jigs with it if i have to.

Another to look for is the Yamaga Blue Sniper 70/3. Similar specs to the Smith....

demond blood 64cj

Sun, 2011-03-27 20:04

I have 1 and rate it high!!!!!! using mine for heavy plastics and drift baiting carnt fault it , I looked at the saltiga rods next to d.bloods and my honest opion is that they are the same rod just a different paint job and few minor visible changes.I run 30lb through mine and would throw it at anything with no doubt in my mind of stopping it!!

i also use the demon blood

Tue, 2011-03-29 11:22

i also use the demon blood 64cj and by far one of the nicest rods i own has also acounted for some monster fish and will be soon matching it with the 2010 saltiga 4000. as jarrad also said they are fairly simular to the saltiga 64cj  only real difference to the eye would be the titanium framed guides and blinged out reel seat / butt section and obviouse colour  differences.

honestly this is a rod that will not dissapoint

Just bought the demon blood 64cj. Fantastic rod & loads up really well. Put a daiwa sol 4000 to match. Bloody good rig!! Use it for jigs & heavy plastics & will test it on a trip to Exy in a few months!!

Take a look at the Samurai NV8 blank along with the above suggestions. I have my SW5000 on it and it has turned out ot be my favourite combo by a mile! Got mine custom built too so even happier with the outcome!
