Hello I was just wondering if there was any helpful advice anyone had to offer about fishing in 80 mile beach or even just up north, eg what baits , lures, rigs , things like that :)
much appreciated

I've been TO 80 mile on a few
I've been TO 80 mile on a few occasions and always used mulies for bait and played around with anything from a standard paternoster style rig to the same one I use at Kalbarri for mulloway and tailor with equally good results. I found taking bait from Perth the best as though they have bait available at the store the mulies are very small. I always head North about 8 - 10 kilometres along the beach but you will find some areas turn up an unusual amount of catfish so move around until you find your best spot. Good luck and I wish it was me going.

Fishing from the beach, you
Fishing from the beach, you need spring tides! Neap tides, the water doesn't come in deep enough for the good fish. Big threadies and mulloway available.

head north, you'll work out
head north, you'll work out why when you get there. i used a snelled double hook rig with 1/2 a mulie on it to a 60lb leader, 2ft long to a swivel or joining knot then to a running bean/ball sinker. I've never fished to the south but hey it could be worth a drive. I'd speak with the people in the shop there and make sure you time it right.
