There are Roes abalone in most places down that way wherever the granite goes down into the water, so pretty much everywhere. Use google maps to find likely looking areas that wil be a bit protected if the swell is running, but it can still get a bit surgy at times and you can get moved around a bit while snorkelling around the rocks.
Most of them will be hidden deeper in the cracks between the rocks, not out on the open. Can usually get a few greenlip in deeper water off the shore too.
Ive usually gone near the entrance to Princess Royal Harbour or the 2 Peoples Bay area

Albany Abalone
There should be heaps of green lip and maybe brown lips abs there.
Roes not sure.
The coast down there is all very likely ground if you're going in off the big round rocks into 15 to 20ft of water they should be there.
