Abrolhos islands Sept / Oct

gday all just wondering if anybody on here has done trips to abrolhos in Sept/Oct, I had a quick look at the annual wind data averages at the islands and it looks like the wind tends to be lower end Sept / beginning Oct, we want to plan our first trip but dont want to wait till April/ May when most people tend to go - any info muchly appreciated thanks

hi beeroclock,
a group of us use to go up every year for 8 years straight diving and fishing at the end of sep early October, the weather was hit and miss, we had anything from horrendous winds and freezing cold to glass off for 5 days in a row and 30-35 deg temps. We chartered the island leader so we went regardless of weather but it was still more pleasant on the glass off days haha.

The Fremantle to Geraldton
The Fremantle to Geraldton and return races are across the last two weekends of October and more often than not it blows like stink either from the SW or NW.
Early october shouldnt be quite into the mood to blow like stink as the land isn't warming up just yet but you are right in that shoulder of the season
