Hi all, Im planning my first trip to Abrolhos islands this year. Planning on going just for 2 nights with the wifey on last weekend of March if winds and wave gods are kind to us. Just wondering is it safe to leave the car and trailer in Geraldton marina for the time we over there or do most people leave car and trailer somewhere safer? if so where?. I know you cant camp on islands so where would be best to anchor up out of southerly for a first timer out there. I was thinking somewher around Gun or sandy island? or is there anywhere better? safer? Any other advice would be greatly appreciated so trip goes smooth as possible cheers Dave

Done a few week long charters
Done a few week long charters there, cars have always been safe in the car park. Pretty busy marina with residential and businesses right there also.

The search function works
The search function works but what you type in doesn't show. Just type it in and hit search and you'll get results.

Give a man a mask, and he'll show you his true face...
The older you get the more you realize that no one has a f++king clue what they're doing.

New fishing rules
I assume you have seen March is a demersal fishing ban and only around 1 pelagic fish then at Abrolhos?

Yes i know about the new rules that will apply
the trip is more about getting out there and enoying the place. Only want one fish for entree per day before dinner, wife and i not really big fish eaters. Im looking more for advice on where best to anchor up for the night. A fellow fishwrecker on here has PM ed me a few tips (thanks for that!) cheers dave
