Advice on the Trophy range??

I am looking at buying a 2003 Trophy, model 2352. Has anyone got any info or does anyone have a trophy they can share their thoughts/ experiences on. Its running an injected 350 Chev with 250 hp and has the Mercruiser leg. It has done approx 150 hours. Holds 400Ltrs of petrol and comes with all safety equipment, lowrance sounder etc. It has 2 kill tanks, 1 live bait well and even has a built in toilet. Is there anything I should be looking for when buying this boat. I have been given a price by the owner and am of the belief it is a rather good price. The hull and the whole boat for that matter has been very well looked after and it can be seen just on first glimpses. The mechanics have been well serviced and the trailer is clean as a whistle. It has a drive on trailer and electric brakes. Oh and it has all side and rear clears and comes with full boat cover. Thanks in advance.

Regards

Tez

they are over width, so you'll need a permit to tow it.

other than that, by all accounts a really nice boat.

I think it is 2.59M on trailer. Would I have to get a permit everytime I take it out or can an annual permit be obtained??

I've also heard a few things about skids versus rollers and there being advantages/disadvantages as to where you are launching etc.  Not really too sure as I've never been on one, but its always been a bit of a discussion point with a few owners I've spoken too at the ramps.

G'day Tez

I've had my 2052 for over 3 yrs (diesel inbd) and love it.

Skid trailer is awesome - just spray with silicon spray every 10-15 launches.  Full drive on, slide off - even at Tantibiddi ramp.

Check out this forum;

You should find everything about your model.

Besides general maintenance the only issues you might have is with the American trailer - getting parts that is.

Cheers Pete
