Advise or opinion on rod/line size to suit diawa 2spd saltist

Got given a 2spd diawa saltist 30 for a present and chasing ideas and advise on rod and line size (braid) to suit this reel. hoping to use for bottom bashing/jigging in the south west.Not worried on the price just give me your opinions please.

hi mate , i would say 50lb braid and one of the fin nor offshore 80lb jig sticks (the 80lb one coz they are light blanks for their rating ) or a monster mesh , but the fin nor rods have a nice action for bouncing and can jig as well, hope this helps cheers
