Its down to the two best teams of the year, the mighty fighting Hawks and the high flying Eagles...the battle of the birds. Hawks are going for a shot at immortality, the Eagles for their first flag in nearly a decade.
Just a bit of light hearted nonsense to get the ball rolling...
The North Melbourne Curse. You've heard of the Kennett curse but there is a little known curse going back a number of years involving North Melbourne and Prelims (in the current form). The side who has beaten the Kangas in the Prelims has gone on to get smashed in the GF. Also all the Eagles premierships have come in even years....That does it for me

Not necessarily better but more memorable and harder fought. If I was voting I would have picked Cyril (as I did in a previous earlier comment during the game) as his highlights stuck out for me. You don't have to have the highest stats to be BOG.

yea waiting for hopefully a Cowboys win tomorrow arvo! But ask the question today will the dockers stack up stronger next year, and what could have been if we played that last game with a full side, our champ fully fit and firing instead of being a dead weight!
Always thought the Eagles would find it tough in the big one after there first quarter last week, the dockers were the same a few years back, kicked a shit load of points as well but only lost by a few goals.
what does come next beside pre season, when does the draft of trade thingy start? Both sides have some good youngs coming through, well done on a great year, disappointing end but a quality opponent who's been in the seat a few times is hard to rock.

Yep a woefull game by the Eagles, probably the worst one they played this year.
I think nerves & inexperience played a big part as well as the Hawks not wanting a repeat of two weeks ago.
Next year should be a good year for the young Eagles, this one was a bonus. A good depth coupled with the feeling of losing a GF should put them in good stead for 2016.
Well done with the banter folks, was fun. Remember it's only a game & not as serious as fishing, Lol. So when it's over it's over.

Word has it that cricket was invented as a fill in to keep people occupied between football seasons, they started earlier well before footy was invented but still haven't succeeded in getting the interest or money that footy returns.
Just my thoughts on the footy off season with nothing to occupy me when not fishing.

Gota say a big thanks to both the WA sides and their supporters. Without the team's choking efforts and their supporter's resentful public displays, last week and yesterday's wins would have been slighty less enjoyable lol. Proud as punch to support the side that ended both local teams hopes and dreams, again. And the Mighty Hawks continue to do it with ruthless arrogance, too old, too slow, hah, making a mockery of the rest of the comp. Ahh another summer of watchin the replays and gloating hehe. Time for the WA sides to merge methinks to try and stop the 2016 FOURTHORN ONSLAUGHT ;)

Seriously tho, Iv watched it 3 times now, I duno what I enjoyed more, the moments like Hodgey's goal or the moments like your Hill's shot from 5m lol, about the same amount of each in the game which equates to double of the pleasure if my maths serves me right ;)
Ahh well, Bathurst next week, lets see if the Ford flogs, (that have been served a championship this year on a platter cos V8 supercars felt sorry for them and gave them a 'leg up' on the rest with a significant aero advantage) can avoid a choke in the last 'Holden vs Ford' great race. Thinking Pav will pull the pin , Cam McCarthy would be handy as well for a tall up front if we get Bennell for a bargain .
