Cheers mate, i thought it was funny, was the first time i had a fish taken by a big shark.

A few day's later it wasnt as funny after many lost fish lol

Not suggesting you guys were using light gear as its not stated but 50lb is what you want up there and skull them in before the sharks find them

Was my first time there Rig, was on 10kg.

Next time i went i upsized line size and didn't stuff around so much.

Still lost fish but to the resedent groper not sharks. lol

 at least the shark left you the wings to eat. not fun at all loosing a good fish to sharks, but thats fishing up that way for you. gotta put up with the good and the bloody sharks

I think it's an Oceanic Whaler, Not 100% sure as there are many different types.

Initial estamate was 80 to 90kg. At steep you are about 30ft above the water, hard to judge the size.

Just sorting some vid of the groper and will post it later.
