anchor rope

Looking at replacing my anchor rope and just curious as to what type of rope is best . Don't use it often but want one that is going to last. Currently got I think is called silver rope and is starting to show signs of perishing. Would rather replace rope now rather than having to replace e rope and anchor down the track

Silver rope
Silver rope is as good as any, lot softer on the hands, lays flat and doesn't twist/kink up if coiled the wrong way.
Like any nylon rope it doesn't like too much sun but other than that, its as good as any other rope for what you are doing with it.

soft lay nylon is the
soft lay nylon is the pinnacle but silver is the more than acceptable standard. Easy to work with, strong enough and readily available

3 Strand Nylon
Is the best for anchoring it stretches up to 30% and acts like a big rubber band. Much gentler on the boat fittings and less likely to pull the anchor out. It sinks so slide a float down the line to where it enters the water to warn others. Its dearer, a bit harder on the hands, and stronger than silver per size.
Silver is cheaper, floats and is better for mooring lines in a pen
