Crackin day Pual ,Just a question why do you run your gain so high in such shallow water , have you got a heap of colour erase or clutter dialled in as well?. Is that a 600w tranny?. Nice sounder shots btw that furuno rocks.

What are you supposed to be
What are you supposed to be missing , running high gain as opposed to low?
Looks like a great day out Paul.
If I spent half as long fishing , as I do reading this bloody forum , I'd be twice the fisherman I am.

Missing bets me ,I have always run my gain on all sounders high .the instructions tell you turn up until it starts to clutter then back of a bit ,just the way I do it .seems to work.for me.

Nice work paul, we had a slow day yesterday not 1 dhu, but plenty of everything else found a great lump in the 80's loaded with fish but could not get them interested, absolute glass off in the arvo made for a nice quick trip home tho. Still great day had by all.

Looks like another great day
The new boat is getting a work out... Do you spend most the time driving holding ground of do you drift?? Sounder shots look good to me... Stuck in Port Headland working so good to see your posts. eases the pain a little.

No drifting just in reverse
No drifting just in reverse all day holding on spots .Drifting you dont get to sit over the right spot sure you will drift past or over the lump but your off it so quick We can hold on the spots for ten miutes some times and get 5-6 fish and three or four drops before we need to go back around.I would get bored just drifting alongwaiting for a fish .I like to go find them.
