Another Metro Yellowfin Tuna
Headed out today again, basically same story as last time..
Bottom bouncing a couple of spots, saw a couple of birds just flying around not diving or anything. Thought i saw something free jumping out of the water, chucked a lure out, 10 minutes goes by thought i probably was seeing things and it was just a white cap..
Then the rod gets hit but didnt hookup.. bugger, 2 seconds later it starts screaming!! fish on !!
Could tell fairly quickly this was another tuna but came up pretty easy this time , 15ish minutes later had this little guy on board (looked tiny compared to the last one).
Pretty happy with that, bled and gutted and found a few interesting things inside, one i have no idea what it was bit it was spiney as hell!
Finished the day with a 60cm dhue and blackass.
Added a couple of pics of both the tuna and the fish im hoping someone can identify as well as tell me what the heck it was doing inside a tunas gut???
Tuna weighed in at just over 17kg at home so guessing around 20ish before gilled and gutted.
Got a little bit of footage too if anyone can tell me where to upload it?

And you call a 17kg YFT
small! Lucky bugger because I have called them out of Dambier that size "huge". And almost jumped out of the boat for joy (Sashimi!!!! Yeh) when I landed a 15kg speci. I saw the other one and though bloody hell, excellent for metro.
Cracked it I think. \Pusher or lure to slay the beast.
PS: can I come over with some expensive Japanese Soy, proper Wasabi (not the tube variety) and help you with some sashimi -- please!!!!!!

Thanks guys, exact same lure
Thanks guys, exact same lure as last time, didnt even replace the trebels, good thing i didnt hook another monster as i dont think the hooks would've held up a second time..
Yeah this one was a baby compared to the last, not a heap less length but girth was wayyy smaller, Still pretty happy with it though.
Sure crasny1, but its all frozen now haha?

Pretty certain that is a Shaws Cow Fish
A real juvie - normally pinkish red and splotchy colouration but not evident in such a small one - hell YFT eat anything
