Stonker Baldie
Got out today after a long dry spell and decided to have the kids babysat so we could get out of the sound.
The decky(missus) didnt feel real well so we stayed in pretty close, anchored up and fed the burly out, pulled in a nice Black Ass, the wife pulled in a couple of rat sambos, which she enjoyed.
Had my littel 10kg outfit ouot and next minute something took off. i could feel a decent bit of weight. I was hoping for a snapper as we had pulled in a few undersize, a couple of head shakes, but only short kinda slow runs had me wondering whether it was something differen...maybe a small sambo even.
Winding in a few small runs, calling it for everything thinking snapper, but didnt feel right and then got a bit of colour. Silver, ok good maybe this maybe that, and then the big friggen head came ito view, ouot came the net and I did a little fist pump, far out a "baldie" huge. And my first, I didnt expect that especially since we were in 12m of water, a Sambo, Kingy, snapper but not a Baldie.
Best of all it measures a full 72cm, STONKET yaaahooo.... :)

Mate that looks more like a very decent Big black spot Tuskie, that move down south and grew a gray goaty.

Hard to beat
I've never seen a bigger one and I know quite a few fishermen who say the same, but to hear it from everyone so far is just amazing.
Was the biggest I had seen, surely a once in a lifetime capture, just glad it was my lifetime.
