Any Cockburn squid reports?

As the title suggests has there been many squid caught in the Sound lately. Got my Uncle over from NZ and have got tomorrow off, so thought we might have a poke around in the Sound. Will keep an eye out for any Salmon sch too.

We've been getting amongst them every time out lately. Anywhere there's weed beds you should get on to them.

we picked up 6 on Saturday
we picked up 6 on Saturday about 500m off the northern end of garden island - we were drifting from 3m to where it drops to 10 and got all of them in the shallow water
biggest problem was the shags which thieved 2 from us...

Only out for a couple of hours
We ended up with 6 squid a 2 tiny cuttlefish which hopefully can be turned into a nice Dhu.
