There is plenty of lumps inside the reef either North or South of town which are great for free diving, good chance of Dueys but no Snapps. If your tank diving head straight out on the lead lights to 20m deep (approx 5nm), check out a chart, this area is  locally called the Pinnacles and for a very good reason, There are loads of rockey lumps towering out of sandy bottom, very fishey...........

fantastic reefs north of  Leeman, Gum tree, Illawong or Nobby Head (35klms north) off of the beach, this time of year most full of seaweed and depending on tides as to access onto the beaches, plenty of reefs that the pros can't get into to put their cray pots in, really anywhere south or north of Leeman, fantatic.  Point Louise is another reefie spot, good if you have a dinghy, can get in between the reefs, again pro's can;t get in there, beautiful ground through there, untouched reefs in many areas,  Leeman does do dive charters but think its in the warmer months,  inshore or off shore
