Any one keen on a cast this arvo for tailor
Submitted by Super peg on Thu, 2013-05-16 09:01
The girlfriends parents are in today at around 2 pm, so I'm going to go chuck some lures around trigg, never been there but I've researched enough ( many thanks to the posters on this site) to hopefully get onto some fish later in the day, is anybody interested in a cast? If so let us know, I'm always stoked to learn some new things and to share some bullshit haha

There's a few around Trigg at
There's a few around Trigg at the moment but they don't hang around long, 10 minutes & they are gone. Evenings have produced a couple of fish on lures but it's not the best time to be out there at the moment.

I'm pretty new to trigg myself, only been 3 times now, but it's produced for me,
there is a few old blokes that are just so damn rude it's amazing though so be prepared to be fired up!

To be honest, i struggled
To be honest, i struggled getting it past the breakers. Really felt too light and needed to be another 20m+ further out to give it a chance of getting in the face of some good fish.
i wonder how the old boys will feel setting up infront of them for a change :P
gonna head down sat /sun this weekend.. ill hit you up if your heading down superpeg

Better off casting metal,
Better off casting metal, richter plugs or waxwings off beaches. They will give you the extra distance you want & if there are tailor about they will usually hit one of these three lures.
The old farts down at trigg won't give a rats about you setting up in front of them, the stupid bastards are used to it. I was there this morning briefly, there were 10 of them fishing the hole at one stage which is ridiculous considering the hole is only 10m across. Best to go looking to the north along the reef if it's busy.

I snuck out for a few casts Saturday & Sunday evening for not much.

Metham's definitely looks the goods, has anyone had much luck there before?

Has anyone tried fishing off
Has anyone tried fishing off the limestone structure? First time I went down I fished of there, it was nice a flat so was safe to fish from, I fished from the northern side and was getting my popper way past the breakers, however no fish. Looks promising tho
